Stand at the foot of the world’s highest peak on our 15-day Everest Base Camp (EBC) Trek. Our EBC trekking package is meticulously crafted to give you an immersive experience through the heart of the Khumbu region. More than a hike, it is a pilgrimage through the Sherpa heartland, ancient monasteries, and high-altitude landscapes that defy imagination as you journey to the iconic Everest Base Camp (5,364 meters) and Kalapatthar (5,545 meters).
Everest Base Camp Trek - 15 Days
They call it the "Steps to Heaven," and for good reason. The 15-day Everest Base Camp trek is the gold standard of global trekking.
Your adventure begins with a short flight to Lukla. From here, we follow the footsteps of mountaineers across the legendary EBC trails. Considering your safety, we have two acclimatization days in Namche Bazaar and Dingboche. This is a strategic choice to significantly increase your success rate by allowing your body to adapt to the thinning air.
While many attempt to rush this journey, Mountain Lust Adventure prioritizes your safety and the quality of your experience. We ensure you experience the heart of Khumbu, allowing you to get accustomed to the rhythm of the trail, the smell of juniper incense in the monasteries, and the ringing of yak bells on suspension bridges.
Our travel experts take care of all the heavy lifting for you, including the Ramechhap shuffle during the busy months. Instead of stressing over the flight diversions or the 2:00 AM transfers, we manage your logistics and handle private transfers, so you can focus your energy on the trails.
On this trek, our guides do much more than just point the way. They grew up in these mountains and serve as your personal connection to the Sherpa heartland. They act as a cultural bridge, offering insights into the lifestyle and heritage of the communities. Whether it’s about explaining the history of remote monasteries or sharing stories over a steaming bowl of Dal Bhat, they make sure your stay in each tea house adds a special significance to the overall EBC journey.

Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, our team will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Thamel. Rest and unwind for a while before meeting your guide for a comprehensive briefing and gear check in the evening.
You will also meet Mountain Lust Adventure representatives, the hosts for your welcome dinner. After dinner, you can explore local markets for last-minute gear like trekking poles or sun hats.
Kathmandu to Lukla | Trek to Phakding
The entry to the Everest region is nothing less than dramatic. A thrilling 35-minute flight takes you to the Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla from Kathmandu. In busier months, flights operate from Ramechhap.
Upon landing in Lukla, you begin your trek with a descent toward the Dudh Koshi River, passing through small Sherpa villages.
Look out for the peak of Kusum Kanguru in the distance as you settle into Phakding.
Trek to Namche Bazaar
Today’s trek is a sensory experience. Your journey is dominated by the sound of the rushing river and the ringing of yak bells as you cross the high Hillary Suspension Bridge.
The final ascent to Namche is a zigzagging climb through pine forests. At around the mid-way point, you will find a small clearing where you can catch your very first glimpse of Mt. Everest.
Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar
Today is your first acclimatization stop. This is crucial to allow your body to adapt to the increasing altitude. To better allow your body to acclimatize, you will follow the “climb high, sleep low” strategy. You will hike up to the Everest View Hotel (3,880m) for a panoramic skyline featuring Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and the iconic Ama Dablam.
On your way back to Namche, you can visit the Khumjung monastery to see the alleged Yeti scalp.
Trek to Tengboche
The trail from Namche winds around the mountain with views of the valley floor thousands of feet below. After descending to the river at Phunki Tenga for lunch, you begin a steady climb through rhododendron forests.
Tengboche is home to the largest monastery in the Khumbu region, and the evening prayer ceremony is a spiritual highlight of the trek.
Trek to Dingboche
Today, you cross the 4,000-meter mark. Notice the landscape change from lush forest to high-altitude shrubs and rocky terrain. You will cross the Imja Khola and trek into the picturesque village of Dingboche. Here, you can witness stone walls that protect crops from the fierce mountain winds.
Acclimatization Day in Dingboche
Like the previous acclimatization day in Namche, you’ll follow the “climb high, sleep low” strategy in Dingboche too. Today, you will hike toward Nangkartshang Peak. The steep climb is rewarded with views of the world's fourth, fifth, and sixth highest peaks (Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu).
Trek to Lobuche
Today’s trek leads to the Thukla Pass. Stop at the memorials to pay respect to the people who perished on Everest. From here, you follow the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. You will notice the air becoming thinner. Maintain a slow and rhythmic pace and remember, rushing is a sure invitation to altitude-related ailments.
Trek to Gorakshep | Everest Base Camp
You reach your ultimate destination today. The day begins with an ascent to Gorakshep, where you stop for a light lunch. You leave your backpack in the teahouse and head toward Everest Base Camp.
Walking on the Khumbu Glacier, you’ll reach the iconic prayer-flag-draped rock that marks EBC. The summit isn’t visible from the base camp, but you can soak in the electrifying energy of standing on the foot of the world’s highest peak.
Kalapatthar Hike | Trek to Pheriche
The trek to Kalapatthar begins before dawn. With the help of headlamps, you navigate the rugged terrain to reach the highest point of your EBC trek. The summit offers the classic "postcard" view of Mt. Everest. You will watch the sunrise, painting the Himalayan horizon in shades of gold.
Soak in the magical moment before descending to Gorakshep for breakfast and beginning your descent to Pheriche.
Trek to Tengboche
Retracing your steps, you return to the tree line and then to the spiritual heart of Tengboche. The descent allows you to take in the views you might have missed while climbing.
Trek to Monjo
From Tengboche, you descend steeply toward the river and then climb back up to Namche Bazaar. Your trek doesn’t stop here but continues out of the Sagarmatha National Park to the village of Monjo.
Trek to Lukla
This is your final day on the EBC trails. Your journey culminates in Lukla. Upon reaching your teahouse, it’s time to celebrate. Share stories with your porters and guide over a final mountain dinner and a celebratory “cheers!”
Fly to Ramechhap | Drive to Kathmandu
Depending on flight availability, you board your flight to either Ramechhap or Kathmandu. Upon reaching your destination, our private vehicle transports you back to Thamel.
In the evening, you will meet our representatives for a farewell dinner to celebrate your successful journey to the Everest Base Camp.
